False milk testing case ends with restitution in Brown Co

Nineteen De Pere area farmers receive a total restitution of 1839.79 after a Brown County Circuit Court case found two men from Snach Cheese Company De Pere guilty of false testing of milk. Jerome Laack plant manager was fined 100 dollars plus costs and ordered to repay patrons. his father Harry Laack forfeited his cheesemaker's license with no fine. Restitution covers March 16 to March 31 with butterfat tests showing 3.52 percent versus state lab 3.8 percent.
