Good cows hard work pay off for Bob Lentz
Bob Lentz, a noted west central Wisconsin dairyman, builds wealth and top herd status through hard work and selective breeding. His 90 Holsteins on 580 acres rank high in Barron County for butterfat and milk, with a focus on longevity and cows yielding 100,000 pounds plus lifetime production. He uses a small selected set of bulls, aggressive dairy merchandising, and a forage heavy feed plan centered on roughage and alfalfa two to four crops yearly to sustain high production.
