Augusta FFA Wins County Soils Contest

Augusta High School’s FFA soil judging team took first at the Eau Claire County contest held at the Duane Schlewitz farm near Fall Creek. Augusta’s 657 points beat Fall Creek 652 and Eau Claire Memorial 595. Individual leaders were Avery Burton of Fall Creek at 229, with Augusta’s Kenneth Gabler and Kermit Johnson tied for second at 223, and Jean Smith at 211.
