The Barron County Soil and Water Conservation District will conduct the annual environmental speaking contest Oct. 20 at 7 30 p m at Barron High School. Contestants meet at the high school cafeteria. Barron Kiwanis Club awards plaques to the top three in elementary, junior, and senior divisions. First place winners advance to an area contest Oct. 28 in Menomonie. Public invited.
