U S and Soviet grain accord boosts US exports
Washington reports a major grain sale agreement with the Soviet Union. Seeley Lodwick says the Soviets will buy more than double the previous commitment, with about 10 million of the additional 15 million metric tons expected for shipment in the sixth agreement year. The 18 million metric tons total would be the largest US export sale to the USSR since 1976.
