Prescott 4-H Club Receives Pioneer Seed Grant for Recycling Center
The Helping Hands 4-H Club of Prescott Pierce County earned a Pioneer Seed Co community development grant for building a recycling center. With 28 members aged 8 to 18 in 1981, they collected and sold newspapers for years, moved operations after a fire and a site relocation, and sourced labor and funds from the city, volunteers, and donors to complete a 24 by 32 foot cement-floored facility.
