Wisconsin Gov Signs Right to Farm Law Limits Nuisance Orders
Gov. Lee Dreyfus signed AB 112 allowing judges to close farms as public nuisances only if health or safety are threatened. In exclusive agriculture zones, a farm can be protected from closure and order to change practices unless health or safety are at risk. Neighbors cited 15 tons of manure daily from 140,000 hens as a nauseating odor prompting legal action.
