Six to be honored by UW Madison College of Agriculture
Six Wisconsin residents will receive the college’s Honorary Recognition at the 69th annual banquet on March 16 in the Memorial Union Great Hall. Recipients: Gregory Blaska, Gordon Bubolz, Bernard Hovel, Edna Meadt, Clayton Nichols, and Edwin Stauffacher for service to agriculture and the environment. Tickets are $6.50 and can be ordered through county extension offices or Dr. Robert Hall.

Pierce County to Offer Tractor Safety Course
Pierce County runs a tractor safety program for youths 13 to 15 with dates in March and April at Ellsworth locations. Tom Howie notes the Child Labor Law restricts under 16 driving tractors without a parent and certified completion waives that provision. Fees are 9 dollars. registration is due March 13 at the Extension Office.
