Nature programs planned at Beaver Creek Reserve in Eau Claire
Several summer nature programs remain open at Beaver Creek Reserve Eau Claire County. Reserve director Rick Koziel can provide details at 715-877-2212. Ranger Rick story hours run Wednesdays 10 a.m. June 18 to August 6 for ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 in separate groups. Each session lasts 45 to 60 minutes with a $1 fee. Junior Naturalist sessions for ages 9 to 12 occur Tuesdays 1 to 4 p.m. July 1 to August 5 and an overnight program August 12 to 13. An $35 cost includes a patch T shirt field bag notebook food lodging. Bog Beauty Orchids and Insect-eaters is a daylong June 28 session exploring bog plant life led by Susan Borman at a Chequamegon National Forest site near Cable. Prairie Flower Folklore is a daylong July 12 guided by Sara Rogers through Eau Claire County prairie patches starting at 9 a.m. July 14 and August 5 offer night walks Walks in the Shadow Moon.
