The U S Postal Service will issue a 14 cent postal card marking the 150th anniversary of Wisconsin Territory on July 3 in Mineral Point. Kenneth J. Hunter will speak at a 1 am first day ceremony at Mineral Point High School. The design shows four miners at work with Shake Rag Street cottages on a ridge. Diana Mullen coordinated the event with mail cancellations available for those unable to attend. Orders for first day or canceled post cards must be postmarked by Aug 2 1986 and sent to Mineral Point addresses. 14 cents per card, checks accepted up to 50.
