Star Farmer Doug Weisenbeck earns Wisconsin honor
Doug Weisenbeck 18, Mondovi, son of Francis and Nancy, earned the Wisconsin State Farmer degree at the state FFA convention on June 10 and was named one of the state’s five sectional Star Farmers. He manages 525 acres with 80 Holstein cows, a dairy and hog operation, and has invested in machinery and cattle, funded by loans and his own earnings. He aims for an American Farmer Degree next year and credits his family guidance and hard work for the recognition.
