Expansion of NDPRB to 72 people proposed
The 36 member National Dairy Promotion and Research Board may grow to 72 members if milk producing states agree on a plan discussed by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and other groups. A 17 member committee drafts the proposal, which would boost input from state and regional units and require approval by the Secretary of Agriculture. Final details, including state allocations, are pending next month’s meeting. An Owen dairy clinic and show is scheduled for July 16 at 10 a.m. at the Clark County Health Care Center, with 4-H teams invited to participate.
