Wisconsin lawmakers balk at budget plan over tuition reciprocity
West central Wisconsin legislators Sen. James Harsdorf and Rep. William Berndt say the Joint Finance Committee budget draft would harm state relations with Minnesota, curb tuition reciprocity, and cut funding for the Minnesota Wisconsin Boundary Area Commission. They warn of higher tuition and property taxes, urge preservation of reciprocity, and predict changes before final passage. Arkansaw notes BioTechnica advisory committee to review GMO testing plans at Arkansaw High School library tonight.
