Candidate pins farm expansionism as threat to farmers
Secretary of State Douglas LaFollette, amid a bid for lieutenant governor, argues expansionist farming drains energy, raises costs, and harms land. He urges voluntary conservation education, better ag education, and reduced agribusiness influence, warning of possible tougher planting rules if self-restraint fails.
