Woodville 4-Hers Display Cats At County Fun Show
More than 40 Western District 4-H youths joined a district cat fun show June 27 at St. Croix County fairground. Smokey owned by Kathy Cronk won the Morris trophy for best cat, with Debbie Denais in Chippewa County second for her cat Coon. Rascal owned by Cindy Jensen of Roberts was best kitten, while other awards honored long hair, short hair, oldest cat Jake, whiskers winner Tinker, show-off Corky, name that fits Satin Black, farthest distance Tico, and best decorated cage Pat Harris. Judge Sandra Madsen of Ellsworth and intern veterinarian Janna Smith supervised exams. Grooming demo by Barb Csuti and daughters complemented the event aimed at teaching cat show skills for the fair.
