LACSE Satellite Tracks Crops Across Eau Claire Polk

In a federal project, ASCS offices in Eau Claire and Polk counties join NASA NOAA and USDA to monitor corn and soybean fields via the Landsat 2 satellite. The five by six mile test segments cover ten fields per county, with ground truth visits from June to harvest and yield reports after harvest.
