Outgoing honey queen seeks hire of my own

Ellsworth woman crowned 1981 Pierce County honey queen
Paula Erlandson of Ellsworth is named the 1981 Pierce County honey queen at the Beekeepers annual Christmas party. She will promote honey locally through promos, parades, school talks, and civic group events. Laurie Sjostrom of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, spoke on promoting honey and noted state queen duties. Officers were elected: Louis Barber, president. Doug Sjostrom, vice president. Huber Wheeler, secretary. Mrs Olaf Christensen, treasurer. The next meeting is Jan 21 at 7:30 pm before the Educational Telephone Network program Working with Bees for Fun and Profit.

Barron Spotlighters present the musical comedy Our Hearts Were Young and Gay January 22 to 25 at the Barron County Courthouse auditorium.
