Winter SEEN beekeeping series planned in Wisconsin
January 10 is the registration deadline for four SEEN beekeeping presentations led by Extension entomologist Walter Gojmerac. Sessions run January 23, 30 and February 6, 13 via SEEN with 27 sites statewide and two way instructor contact. The course covers bees lifecycle behavior and society, colony manipulation, honey handling and disease control.

Farm builders gather January 21 and 22 at Olympia Village in Oconomowoc for a two day event offering a tour of facilities including a naturally ventilated heifer free stall barn a solar grain storage building and a high temperature drying system plus a veterinary clinic auto dealership and horse stable complex. The Wisconsin Farm Builders Association hosts with UW Madison and Extension support. Registration fees range from 45 to 75 dollars with discounts for association members and optional advance enrollment.
