Farm prices slide for fourth straight month in 1981
The Agriculture Department reports November farm prices fell 0.8 percent from October and were 10 percent below a year ago. Corn and other feed grains dropped 2.5 percent, while oats, barley and grain sorghum rose. Meat prices fell overall, with cattle and hogs down, while oranges, eggs, strawberries, potatoes and milk rose. The outlook for 1982 remains grim with potential income declines.
