Taylor County eyes two new show barns at fairgrounds
Taylor County plans to build two 64 by 104 foot metal barns at the county fairgrounds to double animal exhibition space from 98 to about 200 animals. The project, estimated at 310000 dollars, would include a 60 by 60 foot show arena, year round heating, restrooms, PA system, and a connected exhibit area. The proposal, backed by farm groups and livestock exhibitors, will be presented to the county board on January 30 alongside other requests for a new jail and extra office space.
