Scheils Win Wisconsin Tree Farmer of the Year Honor

Norman and Marilyn Scheil of Barron County are the Wisconsin Tree Farmers of the Year for 40 acres of own woodlots and 408 acres of timber managed on their 740 acre farm. Their daughters Bonnie and Kim help fund college with pine tree sales while son Gordon bought his own 40 acre woodlot. The family began planting 14 years ago and credits tax programs for forestry to making land stewardship possible.
