Cadott cow breaks Wisconsin all time milk record at two
A Cadott registered Holstein cow named Albertville Lad Bernice, owned by Henry and Cedric Boettcher, produced 25,340 pounds of milk and 667 pounds of butterfat as a two year old. The star cow surpassed the previous state best kept by the Gerald Glasshof herd in Thorp, beating the prior mark by more than 10,000 pounds from her earlier lactation. Bernice, sired by Albertville Bootmaker, is part of a 80 cow herd averaging 18,600 milk and 655 butterfat, though she is not the top Boettcher producer.

Record Setting Cow Bernice Leads Boettcher Herd Milk Push
Record setter Bernice is projected to yield about 31 000 pounds of milk this lactation. Three Boettcher cows exceed 1 000 pounds fat and over 20 000 pounds milk is produced by over a quarter of the herd. Bernice scored 80 last June, and high producing cows appear in the family with Obert Lundberg of Osseo linked to Trempealeau County’s top butterfat herd and Wisconsin’s second all time milk producer.
