Government expands FmHA loan program in Wisconsin
Farmers Home Administration offices in 13 west central Wisconsin counties take applications for an expanded FmHA loan program effective two weeks ago. The Economic Emergency Loan provision raises loan limits to $400,000, allows guarantees of loans from other lenders, and speeds eligibility. State fair honors go to area 4 H youth and cattle
Polk County 4 H Agent Sid Bjorkman praised a week of mixed results at the state fair as area youths posted top blue ribbons in dairy and livestock events. Notable champions included Ed Haeuser’s 4 year old Jersey cow the grand champion in junior dairy show, and Trempealeau County winner Larry Lakey with senior Guernsey and junior Guernsey honours. St Croix County and Dunn County also posted strong showings in dairy judging, herdsmanship, and related events.
