Rainsoaked Week Across Wisconsin Counties
Soggy field conditions persisted in Chippewa County with over five inches of rain last week. Polk Pierce and Rusk counties reported more than four inches, while southern Buffalo and Trempealeau counties saw under half an inch as storms moved north. A major downpour hit Chippewa a week ago, prompting weather warnings for Chippewa Clark and Taylor counties and a two hour power outage in parts of Chippewa. Temperatures varied widely with St. Croix hitting 94 and Barron near 52, just above Clark’s 50.
