John Fritz, 19, legally blind since age five, earned fourth place among 43 state winners at the National FFA Computers in Agriculture contest in Washington, D.C. The Wisconsin Platteville student uses a $3,000 Apple IIe with a voice synthesizer to manage the family dairy herd and write custom programs.
