Pheasant stocking likely to shrink in West Central District
Die-off of at least 10 000 pheasants at the Poynette DNR game farm may cut West Central District stocking by at least 25 percent. Officials weigh options including full cut, reduced second or third stocking, or statewide redistribution while day‑old chicks already distributed to clubs will be planted before the October pheasant season.
