Ziegeweid vows renewed bid to oust ag secretary
Arcadia board member Jim Ziegeweid plans another push to remove La Verne Ausman as agriculture secretary. He predicted firing within three months, citing a Democratic board majority and a 5-2 vote against an executive session to discuss the issue. Ausman, overseeing a $60 million two year budget, said he felt good about his job and would consider stepping down only if the board demanded it.
