Lenwood St Croix County Fair marks strong youth success
St Croix County Fair 1978 highlighted young exhibitors led by Tom Afdahl who won the champion Holstein male in his final 4-H showing. Ball and Sauerman families earned top swine and sheep titles while Laura Langness and Dawn Olson claimed grand and reserve beef honors. About 1,350 youths entered 6,000 exhibits with 2,000 entries by 500 adults. County Agent Jerry Brett praised youth focus and noted 12,000 to 14,000 attendees.
