Surplus keeps town mutual secure in Fall Creek meeting
The Fall Creek Mutual Insurance Co held a March 31 annual meeting that lasted under 20 minutes with about 100 stockholders in attendance. President Edward Schacht announced strong surplus, reinsurance coverage, and nonincreased rates for over a decade. Directors were reelected as the company highlighted resilience after last summer’s storms, contrasted with the larger Martell Town Mutual, which faced bigger claims and tighter reinsurance.
