A spectacular fire at the Texas Co Tennessee River terminal in Chattanooga killed three crewmen and burned six others during a electrical storm Saturday. The Red Cross will search the river Sunday for three missing crewmen believed drowned. Two firemen were injured when their engine crashed into a telephone pole after skidding on a rain slick street amid the blaze. About 1000 gallons of fuel spilled when a coupling broke during unloading.

Sioux City James Martin Griesel 13 son of Mr and Mrs Harry Griesel was accidentally hanged Saturday in the garage at his home. Coroner Dr Thomas L Cormden said the lad wandered while playing and blacked out from pressure of a rope on a neck nerve center. The rope looped over a rafter and paint rangs were found overturned nearby.

Burlington Boy Crushed By Tractor Near Sperry
A 15 year old Burlington boy, Larry Liles, was fatally injured Saturday when a tractor ran over him on a farm near Sperry. He fell from the tractor and the rear wheel passed over him, he died on arrival at a Burlington hospital.
