Pupil attendance honored with certificates at Coshocton schools

Coshocton public schools announced the annual honor for 149 pupils with perfect attendance and punctuality across buildings. High and grade levels list named students who will receive certificates on promotion day, recognizing consistent attendance and behavior. Commencement events include baccalaureate May 10 and graduation exercises June 4 with programs at Sixth Street Theatre and Birth Street Theater.

Two Men Suffer Severe Arm Wounds From Glass

Marion Rose working on a partition at the Rose building on North Third Street sustained a badly cut right arm when a transom shattered. He slipped from a step ladder, plunged his hand through glass, severing an artery and nearly severing a large inner arm muscle. Twenty stitches were required to close the gash. The wound is not expected to cause permanent injury.

Man named McFarland injured in fall at Court House

John McFarland known as old man BicFarland of Roscoe was injured Tuesday evening about 8:30 after allegedly being pushed from the stairs at the Court House. He fell through a glass door to land in the office, suffering scalp and facial wounds. He was treated at City Hall and released Wednesday morning. Police investigated but found no evidence of foul play.

Lincoln Farm Association Seeks County Donations

Lincoln Farm Association has received 16 in contributions from fifty donors, mostly twenty five cent offerings. W 44 King, appointed chairman on Mayor Ham Htos recommendation, welcomes county donations. Handsome engraved membership certificates are given to all donors. King has led the drive six weeks with J M Compton as treasurer.

Leg Crushed by Falling Timber at Work

Louis Geog of Spring Mountain was injured Wednesday afternoon when a heavy log toppled during timber cutting. His right leg was caught between the tree and a sapling, breaking the leg below the knee.

Roscoe Cemetery Talk by Judge Ashman Next Sunday

Judge Fank Ashman will deliver the address at Roscoe cemetery next Sunday afternoon during a gathering of the Richard Tannlog Post to decorate fallen comrades graves. If weather fails, the speech will be moved to Roscoe Church. After the service, W R C members will honor sailors and Marines who bodies were not recovered.
