Assessors to be Chosen Under New Law in Ohio
The Rathburn law restructures real estate appraisal and assessor selection with quadrennial reviews. Elections set for November 2, 1909, include township village and city assessors, with nominations via primary ballots and party or nonpartisan paths. The official ballot will be nonpartisan, and compensation is set for township and city roles, while village rates need fixing. Taxpayers are urged to oversee nominations to avoid high tax rates from faulty assessments.
