A boy playing on a large log when it rolled, trapping him and scarring his right face. The log passed over him, causing a slight skull fracture on the left, internal stomach injuries, but no broken bones. He was saved by the ground's yield and a knot in the log. He is expected to recover, though seriously injured.
In Roscoe infirmary records reveal Mrs. Lizzie Miller and her two young daughters, ages not stated, left destitute after Mr. Miller, aged around 21, deserted them three months ago. Lizzie, who came to stay with her sister Mrs. Jas Mapel, seeks help as authorities investigate their plight.

J W Dickerson a 44 year old farmer of Tunnel Hill and Mrs Maggie Bush 48 of Mohawk were installed. Rev Haas will officiate. Born to Mr and Mrs Elda Dawon a baby daughter.
Miss Vesita Pendleton of Bryn Athyn Pa, sister of Mrs Caldwell, witnessed the disaster of the steamer Republic. She had been abroad for months and was en route home when the calamity occurred, describing the events to investigators and local officials.
Oak Grove man recently appointed deputy master and general organizer for Coshocton county Granges.
The House adopted the special committee report recommending expunging the Willett speech in which the president was sharply criticized. The move clears the record of that address as of today.
The State Board of Agriculture reorganized under Governor Harmon with members Bedler and Cross as sitting commissioners. L. W. Kilgore chairs, William Miller as secretary, A. P. Randles named secretary, salary rising from 2700 to 2200. Brown and Catley removed, offered no remonstrance.
Hon W A Ashbrook proved his House clout as he carried a bill to incorporate the Dramatic Order Knights of Khoraswan despite opposition from the District Commissioner and Peter Heppern. Coshocton Knights of Pythias will be gratified by his success in securing passage.
The Times recalls Adams Mills wreck coverage with full details of injuries. Pullman conductor M Patterean had a finger amputated in Columbus Tuesday night and will miss days of work. His primary run is on train 25 between Pittsburg and Columbus. Private cars Kremlin and Burniee were moved for repairs. only the car class and woodwork were damaged.
In Thiertun on Dutch Run the Pry family reports two incidents. A two year old child named Mats Pry lost a finger when crushed in a creature separator, requiring amputation. A ten year old sibling, Rasamaned, damaged a middle finger with a corn sheller, also leading to amputation.
Ashman plans a new modern residence on the Milton Travinger lot at the Wyle Mut street corner. The project follows a present arrangement with Mr and Mrs Joseph Sawyer as Me Travinges and Ashman prepare a spring start. John Stevenson of the Independent Moo reports the fifth fur shipment from Coshocton County. The consignments include 2080 skunk pelts and varieties such as red fox, gray fox, possum, skunks, raccoon, and beaver. He claims this year’s totals exceed rival firms, with express records to back the claim.

Richard Janning Post will hold a Lincoln Day program Friday after sunset February 12. The event, directed by Charles V Fay, will feature brief talks and recitations, songs by public school pupils, and will be staged at Sixth Street Theatre or Grace Church.
