Alleged Swindler Identified In Pittsburgh Probe
Sheriff considers taking Mrs Connell Spencer of 60674 South Fifth Street to Pittsburgh to identify a man who may have swindled her of 1800 dollars last November. Louis Young 40 and Miss Cor tine Leonard 41 are held by Allegheny County authorities on charges of operating a confidence racket. Annie Smith, named by John C. Williams, a Zanesville Negro, as the swindler who visited his home in December and swindled him and his wife of 1200 dollars. Williams was taken to Pittsburgh to aid identification. The pair in Pittsburgh jail are believed to have run confidence schemes in this area.

Peak Unemployment Benefits To End For Many In Ohio
Columbus Ohio unemployment administrator Charles H Jones said the peak rate of exhausting 22 weeks of compensation will occur in March and April. He noted 165000 claims were filed in the post V J Day layoffs last September and October with many already re employed. remaining benefits expire soon. Those whose 22 weeks have ended must wait a year to file again and an estimated 1500 to 2000 final checks were mailed in early March.
