Coshocton schools inaugurate the largest program in town history Monday. Superintendent Pratt cites strong teacher corps and rising attendance as promising signs. The high school curriculum spans four years with mandatory and elective subjects and strict course approvals.
New York Life officers face harsh questioning by the legislative insurance commission over underwriting ties and questionable notes. Clerks earning as low as 500 a year reportedly signed large notes to relieve the books. Also noted: Roy Knabenshue will skip Coshocton fair. negotiation details show limited prospects and high guarantees. Gem E. Lybarger and family return from the state fair pleased with its record turnout.
The county board of examiners faces a choice between Profs. Shaw and Wright for Pigman’s successor as the county examiner. The Socialists plan a county convention at Central Labor hall Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Announcement reveals the secret marriage of Miss Pedi Seward of Roscoe and Adolph Zilli, performed in Detroit two weeks ago. Zilli, a clerk at Lynde & Gosser, and Seward, employed by Ransom Dry Goods, planned the nuptials privately and will reside with Seward’s parents after occupying a Hickory Street home.
