Mr. Howard Miller swapped dry goods stock to J P Peck as Trustee of the Spangler estate for the C M Bible farm, 204 acres in Bethlehem township. Peck then moved the dry goods to C J Sturgeon and others for property in the Woodside addition to Newark Ohio. Sturgeon will haul and clear the goods to Newark while Miller keeps his boots shoes and wallpaper stock.
Sept 26 marriage by Rev Wm E Hunt unites Charles I Mullett of Clark with Ida Anabaugh of Monrow. Sept 26 marriage also lists Clarence H Gosser with Myrtle Shrimpke of Ivy. Oct 4 marriage to Charlie Henry and Lillie Roderick in this city. Pledges for dowry at Tish's Fair noted.
The Woman's Christian Temperance Union plans two tents at the County Fair. One small tent offers rest for tired mothers and babies with cradles provided. the main tent has easy chairs, a waiting committee, lunch tables, and a gasoline stove. Literature will be free, and tea and coffee offered at low cost. Volunteers urge attendance at the Opera House next week for bargain clothing and footwear deals from M. Hack and Rowe.
A Columbus incident involving Mr. George A. Hay amid a divorce dispute is resolved by a public letter from EG. denying any affair with Mrs. Brown. Brown had accused Hay in a hotel lobby confrontation and press interviews. The letter refutes the accusation and clears Hay of any wrongdoing.
Rev. T DeWitt Talmage spoke at the Fair Ground on a Wednesday afternoon. About 700 attended with 618 paying, receipts totaling 30 dollars. The connected bureau earned 410 dollars, with other expenses of 11 dollars, and a total of 500 dollars. A four member committee bore about 200 dollars of the cost.

James Glenn, Republican nominee for Coshocton County Representative, born April 18 1868 in Indian Camp Guernepay County Ohio, trained as lawyer at Cambridge and Zanesville, practices in Coshocton since 1892, praised for honesty and ability. He and his wife have two children, farm background, and tax reform views favoring wealth subjects and tax relief for farmers. Elect James Glenn to the Legislature to represent the county fully. Also brief ads follow for local sales and promotions.
Silas Moore a former resident of Harrison and Coshocton counties died last Friday in Long Beach California from paralysis. Born November 1817 he lived in the area for over fifty years, taught school, farmed, and contributed to community institutions. He moved to Long Beach in 1898 with a fruit farm and was married twice, his second wife surviving him with one child. He was described as industrious, honest, and a pillar of the local church.
