Flomer Meacham superintendent of the Toledo Division of the Miami and Erie canal was fatally injured when he fell between moving B&O cars while attempting to board a train. Witnesses from Cusbocton observed the mishap near Zanesville on Wednesday evening. He leaves a wife and one child. Memorial Day observances were held with a parade, band, and tributes led by Rev. L. H. Stuart and Rev. Long in Roscoe.

Death of a Good Citizen John Overholt
John Overholt aged 68 died Saturday morning at his home near the Fair Ground after heart trouble. He lived many years in Keene township then moved here a year ago. Survived by a wife and four adult sons. Remains sent to Amity church for interment. The funeral and attendance drew a large crowd from Coshocton.
