Alleged plot to kidnap cabinet members reported in Winona

A local horse owned by Joseph Kuhn amazed spectators with a risky crossing of a railroad bridge over Beaver Run. The western brought mustang, long deemed incorrigible, slipped from confinement and walked the unsteady timber bridge. Lewis Reiss of Big Run was seriously injured in a wagon runaway after a lecture at Killbuck. The wagon tongue broke on a steep hill, throwing him from the wagon. three ribs were broken and he sustained head injuries. His wife Mrs Belsa escaped with minor injuries and assisted him until dawn. A Samaritan later transported him home for medical care.

Found in asylum after many years

United States Consul General Gowdy located Moses Fowler Chase of Lafayette Indiana in a private sanitarium after a years long search. French doctors declared him incurably insane. The asylum handed Chase to Gowdy with authorization from Secretary Hay to act as guardian, with French courts to appoint a guardian.

Buffalo, March 26 The executive board of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers decided to ask the employers to appoint a committee to confer with worker representatives.
