A boy born to Mr and Mrs Ed L Robinson and a Tex pound girl welcome news. local listings report business moves, personnel changes, church events, meetings and court actions across Coshocton and nearby towns. Names include McNary Snyder Winstow Hummer and Porter.
In February 27 and March 2 Coshocton women from the Woman's Club WCTU Chautauqua Circle and Historical Club met at Mrs Warner Hay and at the G A R Hall to consider women voting for the school board. They debated juristic rules and planned future meetings while avoiding a formal ticket. A later obituary note argues against publishing thanks and obituary poetry in newspapers.
A Sunday afternoon meeting at the Baptist church considered forming a Coshocton Y M C A. Representatives from all churches attended and sentiment favored establishing a local branch soon. Potential headquarters were discussed for the public library reading room in the Selby Building, with ongoing Sunday meetings at 3 PM until permanent quarters are secured.

Horace A Smith, a wealthy Adame Mills merchant, dies suddenly in his store Tuesday morning after a brief illness. He leaves a widow and four grown children. funeral is today at two o’clock.
