Regal dedication marks world’s fair opening in St Louis

A three day holiday is set for April 30 to May 2 for the 1904 world’s fair dedication in St Louis. President Roosevelt and cabinet, former President Cleveland, Cardinal Gibbons and other dignitaries will attend. Grand marshal Henderson C. Corbin will lead parades with 5,000 government troops and 10,000 National Guard. Vast fireworks, flag displays, and a full scale cascade garden replica promise a record celebration with 200,000 visitors anticipated.

Bowling congress adopts weight rules in Indianapolis

The bowling congress at Indianapolis on February 23 adopted a recommendation allowing a bowling ball weighing sixteen and one half pounds and a minimum pin weight of three pounds two ounces.
