Miss Rose A. Marsh aged 19 of Adams township, daughter of the late Junius P. Marsh, was shocked by an anonymous letter campaign and a supposed attack on her sanity after her father's tragic death in August. The case unsettles Coshocton County as friends hope for recovery.
Louis Stiner aged 22 and Libbie Fultz aged 20 eloped from Pleasant Valley Monday night, rode Panhandle train 25 to the west, then returned as married. Their families oppose the union and may seek to void the license, while the couple claims they did not intend to wed elsewhere.

He named a three member committee to oversee district work while elections are held. Dolan says he remains the legally elected head.
The Grand Army of the Republic reports the death of Father J F Leary, chaplain, in Chapman Kansas after a long illness. Leary served as a revered religious leader within the Grand Army, with his passing noted by local veterans groups.
