Hundreds of Coshocton residents gathered at the mill to witness the opening of the boiled mill plant. The event showcased the board of trade, company officers, and the second board of trade addition as hopeful signs of Coshocton’s growing industry and prospects for a prominent manufacturing role in Ohio.

Marguuri te Batch sues Charles W Batch in Coshocton alleging gross neglect of duty after an 1898 marriage. She charges abandonment in April 1849 and failure to provide for child, plus repeated assaults and obscene language witnessed on the street. The couple reside in Coshocton.

Working carpenters held a well attended city hall meeting and elected C. L. Waters president G. W. Davidson vice president F. L. Wagoner secretary and Conrad Hammar treasurer. They adopted a constitution and agreed to working prices with another meeting set for Tuesday evening inviting all contractors to attend. The group seeks to confer on the Seale matter.
A family’s young daughter narrowly escaped severe burns when her clothing caught fire before an open fireplace. Her mother and sister promptly extinguished the flames, averting tragedy. Local notes report a social meeting and a purchase finalizing a move of stock between properties.
Maggie Kiser, aged unknown, died Thursday at one o clock at her sister Mrs Griffiths residence two and one half miles south of the city. Prosecutor Wheeler opened an investigation into possible criminal operation and an autopsy was performed Friday. Relatives and friends seek truth while officials withheld statements.
The inquest into Maggie Kiser’s death is postponed to Friday at 9 o’clock as officials pursue a state bill to turn canal lands in Bethlehem township over to the county for road purposes. Dictor Marshall and Doctor Carr reported to Prosecutor Wheeler before the delay. A correction notes Kiser worked at Murray Issong’s residence rather than Hissong’s candy kitchen.
