Married, It May Be Funny Yet They Tie the Knot
A humorous long anecdote recounts a bashful suitor and Sal in a rushed wedding. After a party, a barefoot escape, a banana slip, and a talismanic dress mishap, the couple wed in a crowded room as relatives cheer. The groom endures clumsy antics and a prying balcony audience before becoming one of the happiest men.

Fearful Cowcatcher Collision on Michigan Central
A Detroit press dispatch from Albion Michigan dated January 20 reports a Michigan Central train collision where Mr Sagan of Sheridan drove a wagon onto the tracks. The cowcatcher struck the wagon and horses, throwing them and their driver and wife onto opposite sides but the couple remained uninjured and rode to the station. Damages to the wagon were minor and the farmers escaped unhurt. The notice then digresses into Ohio dog losses and state totals before noting Nebraska Capitol transfer to Omaha and an aside about insurance and a Chicago building transfer.

New York misadventures and Federal draft era anecdotes
A rambling, drunkenly toned reminiscence from a man escaping New York and contemplating life as an organ grinder. The tale weaves in political jibes about Democrats, Confederate symbols, and draft-era satire, interspersed with jokes, verse fragments, and local newspaper notices.
