Edward Reed, 19, son of Albert Reed of Tunnel Hill, suffered severe facial and hand burns when a Santa Claus makeup whisker caught fire after he returned home late Christmas night. He ignited a lamp with a lighted match, flames spread from the mask to his face as his father and mother assisted, the room’s curtains burned briefly. Dr. Dean treated him. inhalation injuries were not evident, and prognosis remained uncertain.
