Margaret Parkhill aged almost 20 died after typhoid fever in Crawford store staff, lived with her mother Mrs Anna M Parkhill and aunt Miss Sarah Richie on Main Street Keene Township. Funeral Saturday at 2 pm with interment at South Lawn.
Eastern Ohio city solicitors meeting in Canton denounce the new code as an outrage and plan to present several ordinances to their councils. They discuss seven member common council, ward and at large elections, lieutenant mayor, new boards, salaries, and officers. Also note new resident Joseph Beil moving from St. Louis.
Frederick Reynolds, a Delaware Lackawanna and Western fireman, testified before the strike commission that John Francis and other strikers threatened to kill him if he did not quit work. Reynolds said Francis later fired four shots at him while he tended his garden, and declared that he would kill Reynolds despite the law.
London dispatch reports the cabinet debated the Venezuelan situation with negotiations ongoing between Washington and London that could strain Anglo German joint action. Germany rejects submitting its claims to arbitration while England prefers arbitration but resists dissolving the Germany partnership as joint action continues.
Mrs William McCabe of 711 Walnut Street slipped in a Down Deep Cellarway this morning and fell backward into the cellar, breaking her right arm in two places above the elbow. Dr Frew attended and set the fracture.

Coshocton county native H. Culbertson is promoted to engineer of maintenance and way for the Erie and Ashtabula division of the Pennsylvania lines with headquarters in New Castle. He moves up from assistant engineer of the Pittsburgh division and has deep roots in West Lafayette with notable connections.
The Supreme Court declares the new municipal code constitutional in regularity and powers for city councils. It interprets the Cincinnati dispute by counting councilmen as twenty nine for Cincinnati and thirty two for Cleveland, rather than thirty and thirty five.
Porchclimbers stole jewelry valued at $2,000 from the home of T. H. Noonan, while the family was at supper and servants in the kitchen. One burglar climbed seventeen feet to reach the porch as a lookout stood outside. The intruders cut the bathroom window screen and ransacked every room. Principal creditor Miss Mary Wilkins, once partner in Carrick & Wilkins, with assignee George W. Bendure. Personal property about $1,000. liabilities under $500. Inventory appraised by L. D. Schott, W. S. Knight, and Miss Stella Watson. Also note: Coshocton public library adds new book Charles Killbuck detailing early Indian history and local pioneer life.

Grace M. E. church observes holiday services a week from Sunday with a quarterly meeting in the morning led by Rev. Dr. Henthorne of Uhrichsville. Evening features a stereoptical Life of Christ program by B. L. Shaw with his machine and the illustrated song Hello Central, Give Me Heaven.
Francis Marion Pickrell, aged 53, died of apoplexy at his cousin John Pickrell’s home in Jackson Township on Wednesday evening. He traveled from South Sixth Street, slept at his cousin’s, grew worse after noon, and passed away. He leaves a wife and several children. two daughters Maud and Sadie work as novelty makers. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Senter of the Baptist Church in charge.
Word reached Coshocton of Samuel T Duncan death in Bates county Missouri on December 4 from typhoid fever. He was a half brother of T M Fitzgerald of Coshocton and brother of Mrs Mary Lask of Dennison. Born in Bedford township he later moved to Newcastle township then to Missouri in 1880. St Marks Church Mill Creek will hold service December 21 at 10 20 am with sermon and holy communion.
