Videlius Fuller Dies After Main Street Crossing Incident
Videlius Fuller, 74, well known in the city and county, was struck by a westbound freight at the Main Street crossing Friday morning. He died at 9:15 a.m. at his home after being removed there. Eyewitnesses said he stepped from behind a train into the path of another as gates were down. Gatekeeper Kail and Druggist David Williams described the events. Fuller, a Civil War veteran and staunch figure in local industry, will have a soldier’s burial with pallbearers from his oil company. funeral Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at his home with Rev. Dr. Clark officiating.
