Griffin aged 62 a Corydon resident died Sunday morning at the Meltoouse of lung trouble He was never married and served in the Civil War as a young man He worked as a salesman with Griffin McGrain at Corydon New Albany St Louis Memphis and other points Known as Doc he was admired for wood and manly qualities He had been away from Corydon for years returning recently in poor health His funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Griffin residence on Walnut street conducted by Rev Stern.
