Mrs Mary Louise Day Dies After Stroke in Lanesville
Mrs Mary Louise Day wife of Peter Day died at home in Lanesville Tuesday night November 22 from paralysis after a stroke. She was seventy born in New Albany and survived by her husband eight children thirty three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Lanesville with burial in the local cemetery.

River Road Completed Near New Albany
The River Road below the city was completed and inspected by Harrison county officials including the Board of County Commissioners and county engineers. The highway meets plans and specifications and will be accepted ten days after official notice if no objections arise. Valentine Prell died in Louisville at 75, leaving three sons and a daughter. his son Andrew A. Prell, known as Al, resides in Posey township.

Faithful horse Mack ends long service of Dr Bottorff
Mack the old gray driving horse of Dr. J C Bottorff died at thirty and a half years. He served from the start of the doctor's medical practice and spent the past fifteen months on the Bottorff farm west of Corydon. He died Friday evening at the barn bars after a day in the pasture.

Hoosier Girl Wins At Chicago Pig Club Show
Frances Ray of Fountain County captured first prize with her pig at the International Live Stock Show in Chicago. She also earned best calf honors in Indiana's display. Her sister Clara Ray won the junior calf championship two years prior. Indiana's junior judging team, Bartholomew County boys Florad McMahan Joseph Perry and Mitchell Glick, placed third in the noncollegiate contest. Coach C M Job accompanied the team and is married to Corydon's former teacher Miss McMillan.

Close Call When Car Struck Sagging Wire Near Corydon
Frank Lottich and his three children Albert Charles and Loretta were in a accident last Monday as a guy wire across the road near Greelyburg broke the windshield and tore the top of the car. Glass pieces struck Miss Poeta in the face causing several cuts while the wire bruised Shert's scalp. Dr Battorff treated their wounds and the group considered themselves fortunate to escape serious injury.

The second annual Harrison Township corn and poultry contest held at Home Comer's Hall on the Corydon Fair Grounds offered prizes across districts. Former Palmyra resident Mrs Cynthia Jones died at her daughter’s home in Segwick Kansas on Thanksgiving morning after a long illness. Albert Stover living a mile and a half south of Corydon was bitten by his collie when attempting to free the dog from a wire fence. The bite required three stitches to close the nose wound. Stover report shows swelling and discoloration around the eyes after the incident.
