Harrison County Historical Society Organized at Meeting
The Harrison County Historical Society was formed after a well attended Saturday night gathering at the old State House. Founding officers include President Jennie Griffin and Vice-President Lew Mo Darnen with Secretary Thomas J. Wilson and Treasurer George Reuter. A 40 cent membership fee was approved to cover expenses. Miss Takyo M. Filiott of Tipton spoke on Indiana and local history, praising Centennial work and noting Indiana’s early wartime contributions. The group aims to recruit hundreds of members and collaborate with state historical agencies to advance regional history efforts.

Longtime Indiana musician Joshua Wilson dies at 87
Joshua Thomas Wilson born June 2 1834 in Garrison County Indiana died November 19 1921 at his home age eighty seven. He married Mary Jordan in 1859 and leaves wife ten children and ten grandchildren. Funeral at Corvinton Christian Church conducted by Rev J C Moore and Judge W Cook with remarks praising his character and service in the Union Army.

Death of Former Posey Resident Guy Fink
Guy Fink, a former Posey township resident, died at his New Albany home after a long illness. He was 41 and survived by his widow, two daughters Thelma Fink of New Albany and Mrs Earl Akers of Angoria Indiana, a mother Mrs Mary Fink and sister Mrs Otto Woertz of Posey township. Funeral services were at First United Brethren in New Albany with burial at Fairview cemetery. A pie supper at Lear's School, Harrison township, tonight invites all.

W E Hudson recalls details of a 15th century feud in Floyd County with Milton Martin and Ham Green serving an execution at Long's Blue River township home. Long and Tenriott shot. Long died of pneumonia after capture.

Carl Newman Wolfe son of Mr and Mrs Albert O Wolfe was born March 5 1918 and died November 17 1921 after a year of illness Primary Anemia. He leaves father mother one brother Emerton two grandfathers and one grandmother with many relatives and friends. Funeral Friday at Bethesda church conducted by Rev Holden. There is no court tomorrow due to Thanksgiving with cases set for Friday and jurors recalled.

Death of William P. Arnold Aged Citizen
William P. Arnold, born June 2, 1848, died aged 79 at his son’s home near Ote. He left a large family including five daughters and two sons, with funeral services held at the home and then at Rehoboth Church. He had lived with his youngest son John since his wife’s death in 1912.

Squire John H. Lohmeyer of Heth township visited Corydon yesterday to renew his subscription to the Democrat and pay a year in advance. He will be 79 tomorrow and is in fairly good health for his age. He lives alone, cares for his home, and raised two hogsheads of tobacco this year. He provided first hand details on the Morgan Raid of July 9, 1863 and served in the Harrison County Home Guards Co I 6th Regiment Indiana Legion. Todmeyer can offer the Historical Society further Civil War history.
