County Atlas and History to Feature Vast Local Portraits
A forthcoming county atlas and history will run 53 by 18 inches, include 900 or more pieces, be bound in half leather with gold stamping, and use superior atlas paper. It covers township and city maps, biographical sketches, county officers, historic sites, and a double page map of Indiana, the U.S., and the world. It highlights pioneers, settlers, biographies of notable residents, and local history from 1809 to present, with extensive illustrations and portraits. Six hundred twenty five citizens have already supported the project and orders are invited through F. A. Bulleit, Corydon Indiana.

Death of Mrs. Rebecca A. Stonecipher at 84
Mrs Rebecca A Stonecipher widow of Henry Stonecipher died at her nephew Abraham Rosenbarger home near Corydon aged 84 from erysipelas after a hand injury. She was a Rosenbarger by birth and a U B Church member. Survived by six children Sarah Dewey Emaline Schenk Mary Stonecipher and sons David Andrew James Stonecipher. Funeral held yesterday from the family home and burial at Jordan cemetery.

Mrs Elizabeth Long wife of James Long died Monday morning November 27 after a long illness and a hip fracture from a recent fall. Born February 30 1833 and married August 26 1855 she is survived by her husband and three sisters Mrs Eli Mathes Mrs Adda Brengman and Mrs Tda Gilmore. The remains were interred at Heidelburg burying ground with John H Heth officiating Roscoe Orecelius of New Albany is visiting family.

Alonzo Walker Injured After Nightclub Assault
Alonzo Walker a colored man lies critically injured at his home in the northeastern town with a heavy blow to the head and gashes from an assault Saturday night. He alleges Lance Hunter struck him knocked him down and dragged him into a stable stall before leaving him. Hunter was arrested by the town clerk and held on a $400 bond with Dr L Neely as surety for a December 1 appearance.

Death of Mrs Bruce at Hethiowa aged about 30
Mrs Bruce wife of Robert Bruce of Hethiowa died the 22nd inst of consumption after a long illness. She was about 30 years old and leaves a husband and children. The remains were interred at Otterbein burying ground on Thursday.
Vogt suit against county over deputy assessor pay tried
Sam Vogt sued the county for services as deputy assessor in 1908. Judge Cook tried the case last Saturday and allowed a claim of 56 dollars. Assessor Haber had appointed Vogt, but the County Commissioners claimed they had not authorized the appointment.
